Whatsapp New achived Chats tab

WhatsApp for iOS will get a new ‘archived chats’ tab in an upcoming update, as the app just submitted a new iOS beta on TestFlight with new features for archived chats, reported WABetaInfo.

The new ‘Archived Chat’ feature is in the works for iOS for WhatsApp

According to reports, the app’s beta version 2.21.120.10 will include a brand-new Archived Chats tab. When the “Keep chats archived” option in WhatsApp is enabled, every time the user receives a new message from a previously archived chat,

If a user archives a chat and then receives a new message, the chat is returned to the main chats tab.

The new feature will allow users to keep their chats archived by clicking on the “Keep chats archived” option that they can find by going in “WhatsApp Settings”, and then “Chats”.

Furthermore, the “Edit” button will allow users to manage multiple archived chats at once.

WABetaInfo said that when the new archive is enabled on WhatsApp, the things that will happen include:

1. If you have archived chats, the archived chat cell is also pinned at the top of your chat list.

2. The tab is never hidden and is always visible

3. The tab reports the number of unread chats.

If you were mentioned in an archived group, the symbol @ will appear in the archived chat cell.

This feature’s launch date is unknown at the moment, but the WhatsApp feature tracker believes it will be available soon.
