The Google Play Store Rating For Facebook Has Recently Dropped From 4.0 to 2.6.
People use Facebook to network. The app provides simplicity and freedom to express yourself, but things have recently taken a turn for the worse. The app does not appear to support freedom of expression and voicing an opinion for Muslims as experienced by people in South Asia, the Middle East, and Arab countries.
At the time of writing, the app store had over 5,000,000,000 installs and 115,640,972 feedback. This massive number reflects a rating of2.6, as people have been reported giving only a ‘1 star’ on various social media forums, citing unfair justice and clear inequality.
Many accounts have reportedly been suspended or permanently banned for speaking out against Israeli military aggression against Palestinian Muslims.
Muslims all over the world are sharing posts in support of Palestine, and for unknown reasons, some accounts are being flagged for their posts. This appears to be a pattern not only on Facebook but also on Instagram, a Facebook-owned company.
A one-star rating on the Google Play store highlights the app’s poor performance and users’ dissatisfaction.
According to AFP, Israel’s ongoing aggression has killed over 200 Palestinians, including more than 50 children.
