HOW TO SHATTER A DARK CLOUD FROM YOUR LIFE
The hustle and bustle of everyday life can really create a dark cloud over (and even around) you. This affects your mood, health, and relationships. The busyness we experience in our personal lives is known to be detrimental to our mental state but what do these little moments add up to?
How To Get Rid of a Dark Cloud Over Me? The answer lies with how they make us feel which oftentimes will lead back into affecting other aspects such as happiness or work productivity!
It is often said that how you look at something depends on how it will affect your mood. If you are looking up, then things will seem brighter. It’s the same with how you see your life. Sometimes it feels like a dark cloud is blocking the sunshine from your life and you find it impossible to shake off the negative feelings. It’s how you see things that make the difference.
A dark cloud over you can be an external situation, like your job or financial problems; but it can also be how you interpret what is happening to you and how much importance you place on negative events in your life. If this is how you look at things then they will affect how happy and how long you feel this way.
“Negative thoughts are like clouds that follow you around. They stay in the background, casting their dark shadows on what should be bright days.“
It’s not easy to get rid of negative thinking patterns when they’ve been with us so long and become a part of who we really are,” says Dr. Julie Nard Baas from her office at The Brooklyn Centre For Mind Body Health & Healing In New York City—a place where some people come seeking relief after accidents have left them struggling physically or emotionally without any hope for recovery other than living each day as best they can give how much has already been lost!
Ways To Remove Negativity From Your Life:
If you are struggling with depression, it can be hard to get out of bed in the morning. You might feel like life is meaningless and all you want to do is sleep. But there are ways that you can fight back against your symptoms so that they don’t control your life. Make sure to read on to learn more about how I shattered a dark cloud from my life! Here are some ways to start bringing in more positive energy in order to get rid of this dark cloud over your head.
1-Connect with positive people:
Loneliness is a common symptom of depression. But the more you isolate yourself, the worse you will feel in your struggles to get out from underneath this dark cloud. Find friends or family members who are supportive and hang out with them regularly—not just when it’s convenient for you but whenever they have free time!
Get connected to positive people who care for you and love you. With the right kind of love, support & guidance from these individuals; not only will your thoughts be changed but also how others react around you which influences their own feelings too! Being in contact with like-minded souls can make all aspects (both good or bad) much more manageable.
Being around positive people can help you to see how your struggles are affecting those closest to you. You may find that some of the problems they thought were important before don’t matter as much now and vice versa, so it’s a good idea not to make any major decisions or life changes until you feel better.
2-Meditation:
Meditation is a great way to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s also known for improving memory, focus & self-awareness. There are many simple ways that you can meditate! You don’t have to sit cross-legged on the floor or chant anything in order to get started—just find some peace and quiet where you won’t be disturbed and breathe deeply for a few minutes.
With meditation, we can learn to transform our minds from chaos to calm. And it is really not as hard as you might think – my favorite type of mediation is a “Breathing Meditation”, which requires just one simple action: breathing! Sit down in any comfortable position with your eyes partially closed and take several long breaths while focusing solely on inhalation. Then remain mindful during exhalation exhaling. If your mind wanders, it’s okay to bring yourself back to the breath. It might take some time for you to get used to sitting this way and focusing on how each part of your body feels as you breathe in & out but with practice, you will see how much better things can feel after just a few sessions!
You can benefit from sitting in silence or listening to music that you find soothing, watching how your breath moves in & out of the body is also beneficial. So if spending some time relaxing helps to take away feelings of anxiety, then it might be worth giving this practice a try.
3-Simplify Life:
Sometimes, there are just too many things going on in life and it can feel impossible to keep up. But how much better would you feel if you could reduce the number of commitments that take away your time? This way, when negative thoughts come creeping back into your mind—you will be able to find comfort by knowing how easy it is to rid yourself of them by simplifying your life.
Simplify your life and get rid of the rest. The more simplified you make things, the less stressful they become for you. When there is not too much going on, you won’t have to worry about how you can get everything done. And when things are few and far between—it’s easier for positive thoughts to come in so that the dark cloud doesn’t remain over your head! The feelings of happiness & joy will always be present in everyone; it just
“Simplicity is prerequisite for greatness, but not inevitably its achievement.” – Aristotle
Simplifying routines will allow people to better concentrate on what’s important; -Identifying commitments that are worth keeping can save time in decision making when trying not to clutter rooms with unimportant matters such as paperwork or clothes left out until one wears something else instead (which might happen because we know it doesn’t matter if our bed isn’t made).
Following through on one task at a time is the best strategy to overcome overwhelm! So before you get started with anything else, just take the first step in the direction that feels right for you and then see how it goes from there.
4-Nurture Self -Love:
If you are feeling down in the dumps, how do you expect to find happiness when your heart is closed off from others? Many people have a tough time loving themselves and even though they want nothing more than to feel better—they just can’t seem to open up their hearts.
“The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind. As you think, so shall you be.” – William James
When you are having negative thoughts, it can be hard to know what is the best course of action. The first step in overcoming this challenge involves learning how your own self-love works and nurturing that healthy tendency instead of waiting for someone else’s affection or approval. It may seem like an empty act at times but taking time out every day just for yourself will make all those hours worthwhile! Make sure you express gratitude toward everything good happening around us too because it takes so much energy worrying about bad things happening instead of focusing on how grateful we can be for everything that does.
5-Stay Busy:
Even if you are busy, how can it hurt to take some time out of your schedule just for yourself? Busy people can become overwhelmed with how much they have on their plates and the most common cause is the feeling that there isn’t enough time in a day. If things feel like they’re getting too hectic—it might be best to simply slow down and take a breath.
When you’re feeling negative or discouraged, keep your mind occupied with activities that will tire it out so there is no energy left for thought-provoking ideas to enter into the equation! Listen to happy music and read some good literature; cook yourself dinner in anticipation of an exciting week ahead fulfilling all those goals we’ve set before ourselves this morning.
6-Self Care:
After a long day at work or school, how can we expect to get through the rest of our lives if we don’t treat ourselves with care? It’s easy enough to take time out for others but how about giving back to yourself in some small way that you actually enjoy!
Self-care is important in order to maintain mental and physical well-being. So, take the time every week or two weeks that you spend relaxing with your favorite activity (e.g., knitting) for yourself!
We all need this small indulgence from time to time; allow yourself some self-love by curling up on the couch after work instead of watching another episode of Grey’s Anatomy guiltily while simultaneously scrolling through social media feeds filled with nothing but other people’s lives.
Carving out a few hours each weekend to indulge in your favorite lazy activity is not easy. But it’s worth the effort! Start with one weeknight and take some time for yourself after work, then go on an outdoor walk during which you can see how much brighter life outside has been lately. I know this might be hard because there have probably been times when all we wanted was darkness away from those thoughts clouding our minds…but trust me — sunshine will come back around eventually so don’t give up hope just yet!
7-Train Your Mind With Positive Affirmations:
Positive affirmations are a great way to train your mind and make it possible for miracles. There have been many studies that demonstrate how just telling yourself positive things can change who you feel inside of, as well as what’s happening around us all! A good example might be if someone had an unpleasant experience at work today – instead of having those negative thoughts or feeling sad about their lifestyle going downhill from there maybe something better could happen because “I am responsible enough” doesn’t seem so hard anymore when put into perspective through this lens…
8-Become Social:
It’s no secret how much happier we can be when surrounded by others! Spending time with our loved ones and watching how they smile after a long week at work makes us realize how truly great it is just to have someone who understands what you’re going through. Sometimes the best therapy comes from knowing there are always people around who care too, no matter how dark the sky may seem.
Sometimes we need to let go of social media and take a step back from how much time we spend analyzing texts or other messages while wondering if someone is going through something difficult without us knowing…that’s when it can help to pick up the phone and call a friend instead! Socializing has been scientifically proven to be much better than scrolling through pictures and posts of how great everyone else’s life is compared to our own, so you might as well go out there and make the best of it!
A home without people feels lonely. When you live on your own, negative thoughts can be harder to shake off than when surrounded by loved ones or friends in the neighborhood bar every night of the week–so get out there! Meet new folks while spending time with family at parties and talk about everything from politics (or anything else!) together; once they’re open-minded enough for change – maybe even invite some over too!. It may sound crazy but talking helps us see beyond our own selves—and then has bigger purposes that go beyond just “being social”.
9-Support System:
Sometimes we just need a little push in the right direction. There’s no shame in asking for help when it’s needed, and that might mean reaching out to friends or family members who can give you advice on how to get over this dark cloud hanging overhead!
A support system doesn’t necessarily have to be someone who has overcome their own struggles, either. Sometimes just knowing that someone else is probably in the same boat, or has been through similar experiences can be enough to help anyone get their head out of the water and onto dry land again!
We all have days where we can’t seem to find the motivation for anything. But, if you’re constantly feeling drained and exhausted then your body will suffer as well–both mentally and physically. It might be time that says “I need help around here!” And while no one deserves to be treated poorly or made feel bad about themselves just because they ask out of love- sometimes couples simply don’t know what else they could do together other than cooking dinner once in a while!
10-Indulge In Creativity:
Sometimes we just need to get our creative juices flowing again. Whether you’re trying to find a new hobby or pick up an old one, creativity knows how to put us back in the driver’s seat after feeling like we’ve taken several wrong turns! The best part about it is that no day is worse than another when you’ve got a list of things to do that keep you busy all day long.
Conclusion How To Get Rid of a Dark Cloud Over Me?:
There are many reasons why people experience stress in their lives. It’s a normal part of being human, but it doesn’t have to be that way if you take the time out from your busy schedule and put yourself first for once! All too often there’s an easy fix on everything causing us so much trouble right now– Simply adjust how we perceive our issues as well as what actions come forth from them by thinking positively about each situation going forward.
